I am looking to add a canine to my little animal family as I make my move from the South to the North East! I used to have a Lab and a Alaskan M. I was much younger, and did not even consider massage for my dog, cat or horse! Older now, I wanted to know more about caring for, on my own, my soon to be, new best friend, my Dog, as I do with my horse, pony and cat’s! So I added this book,Canine Massage: A Complete Reference Manual, and I will most likey attempt to purchase,Canine Massage: A Practical Guide, once I purchase my new friend, pet! I found that this book, inspired, and encouraged me, in regards to my canine journey, with step by step,practical and useful information! These day’s the economy is not easy on many of us, therefore, I find it very helpful to be able to help any and all of my animals, myself,without always refering to a Vet, so, I think this is going to be of great help and put to great use, for my Australian Sheep Dog, puppy, and yes, I will add this to my books, on horse’s and I would love to see Mr. Hourdebaigt, add Feline’s to his Animal Books, as a new arenea! “Andre”, as in Saint Andre, my new puppy addition, will love me even more than I’m sure he is going to, by applying, these massage technique’s! A good basic book for methods and implementation. Geared more for beginners, but therefor a foundational study guide for any CMT.

Our Border Collie had a malignant tumor removed along with half of his triceps, We needed to massage his leg before and after walking & swim therapy. The book was helpful as it showed different types of massage and exactly where it was needed. The Canine Massage book was very thorough and covered a lot of detail without being too technical.
